Partnership with MAEDC: Workplace Stability Program
MCF is partnering with the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC) to launch a Workplace Stability Program aimed at improving employee retention and productivity within economically diverse workforces. This initiative incorporates strategies developed by aha! Process, focusing on:
-
Reducing turnover and improving productivity.
-
Enhancing employee relationships through understanding hidden workplace rules and the language of business.
-
Providing training and resources for supervisors and managers to foster a supportive and stable environment.
The partnership will include hosting workshops such as "Workplace Stability: Creating Conditions That Lead to Retention, Productivity, and Engagement," which highlight actionable strategies for stabilizing workforces. The program emphasizes the importance of economic diversity, employee resources, and community collaboration.

By bridging resources from MCF and MAEDC, the initiative seeks to create sustainable improvements in workplace dynamics, contributing to long-term economic growth for businesses and the community alike.
Supporting Historic Preservation: The Restoration of the Urbandale Pillars
The Moberly Community Foundation (MCF) played a key role in funding the restoration of the historic Urbandale Pillars, a cherished landmark in Moberly, Missouri. These iconic structures, originally serving as entry points to the Moberly Fairgrounds, have stood as gateways to the Urbandale neighborhood, symbolizing the city's rich history and community spirit.

Thanks to MCF’s support, the restoration project successfully preserved the integrity of the pillars through careful craftsmanship and historical sensitivity. The initiative aimed not only to maintain the physical structures but also to honor their historical significance and the memories tied to them.

The project culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and plaque presentation on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, hosted by the City of Moberly’s Historic Preservation Commission. The event was attended by residents of the Urbandale neighborhood, local officials, members of the Historical Preservation Commission, Chamber members, and other community stakeholders. It was a proud moment for Moberly, celebrating the pillars' renewal and their continued role as a gateway to the city’s vibrant past and promising future.

MCF is committed to supporting projects that preserve and celebrate Moberly's heritage, fostering a sense of pride and community connection for generations to come.
