Moberly, MO – The Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC) is pleased to announce that Randy Asbury will be joining MAEDC as Director, Business Development. Randy has worked with MAEDC since August of 2019 on a contract basis, but officially started fulltime on June 15, 2020.
Randy will assist MAEDC’s work with local governments and existing businesses on opportunities to expand and grow in the MAEDC Region. Randy added, “The last few months with MAEDC have been wonderful. I feel we’ve made progress in our business outreach and going from our initial contractual arrangement to a fulltime position seems like a natural step as MAEDC seeks to positively influence economic development in this region.”
Randy is a former Missouri State Representative, and the founder of Principled Solutions & Strategies. In addition, Randy is a realtor with Century 21 McKeown & Associates, Inc. in Moberly. Prior to these roles, he was Executive Director for the Coalition to Protect the Missouri River for 15 years. Asbury previously served as a Randolph County Associate Commissioner. Along with his wife, Connie, they have four adult children and two grandchildren.
