Child Care Expansion Grants
In a bid to address the pressing need for quality infant and toddler care in underserved areas, Missouri's Early Care and Education Connections has unveiled a promising funding opportunity. Geared towards licensed child care programs in regions identified as child care deserts, this initiative aims to increase accessibility to crucial early childhood education.
The funding allocation is contingent upon the number of infant and toddler slots added to existing programs, with an additional consideration for programs contracted with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to receive subsidy payments.
This strategic approach ensures that the financial support is targeted towards areas where it is needed the most, promoting equitable access to high-quality child care.
Deadline to apply for the Child Care Expansion for Infants and Toddlers is February 6, 2024.
