New Franklin, MO — May 9, 2024 — The Boonslick Economic Development Corporation (BCDC) and the Howard County Economic Development Council (HCEDC) are pleased to announce a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of a transformative infrastructure project at the Port of Howard/Cooper County. The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 17th, at 10:00 a.m.
This event represents the culmination of extensive collaboration and financial support from various grants, including those from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This expansion will provide a substantial boost to the port's operational capacity and resilience, benefiting the local community and the broader regional economy.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks from local officials, representatives from the port authority, and key stakeholders involved in the project. Attendees will have an opportunity to network and discuss the positive impact this expansion will have on the local economy.
